Gov. Phil Bryant told Paul Gallo on his SuperTalk Radio Show on Monday that the Mississippi Republican Party received a suspicious letter left at its front door last week that caused concern in the wake of the Congressional shooting in DC.
Gov. Bryant read a paraphrased version of the letter on air:
“James T. Hodgkinson should be declared an American patriot for trying to rid the United States of the Republican scum. I have no respect for the two black officers that tried to stop him.”
Gov. Bryant said the letter was sent by an African American who proudly put his name on the letter. He said the sender was investigated but could not say more about it at that time.
