Ruling on fees win for taxpayers

The ruling from the Mississippi Supreme Court in the ongoing battle between Republican political leaders and Democratic Attorney General Jim Hood is reasonable.

Significantly, neither side got everything it wanted in the private-attorney-fee skirmish between Hood and State Auditor Stacey Pickering. But it seems like it was a win for the taxpayers.

The ruling involved two lawsuits Hood had assigned to private attorneys.
