OXFORD — With baseball over for the summer, we move on to football, where we were able to talk with UM coach Houston Nutt for about a half hour this afternoon over at the Indoor Practice Facility. Here’s what he had to say about several subjects:
* Nutt said that, as expected, his trip to the Middle East was a life-changing experience. He went with several other coaches, including Ohio State’s Jim Tressel and Texas’ Mack Brown. Here’s a few notes from the conversation.
On the soldiers: “The biggest thing that hits you is the young faces. Looking at soldiers the age of my son. They’re 21, 22 or 23 years old.”
