Dean, a former Vermont governor and presidential candidate in 2004, will stop in Texas and New Orleans before heading to Mississippi. He is scheduled to be in Hattiesburg from 2:40-4 p.m. Friday. The location has not been announced.
He’ll be featured at an event scheduled for 6:10 p.m. Friday at Tougaloo College on West County Line Road in Jackson.
Dean told The Associated Press that Democrats haven’t been able to win Southern states in recent years because “we haven’t tried.”
“If you don’t show up, you can’t win,” he told the AP. “And that’s not going to happen this time. We are going to show up everywhere.”
