Who’s to blame for the debacle of Medicaid?

House Democrats are to blame because they know good and well the votes don’t exist to expand Medicaid, but that won’t stop them from playing politics and blocking not only the reauthorization bill but also the funding bill.
. . .
House Republicans are to blame because they wouldn’t allow democratic debate on what is clearly the most important issue facing not just the Mississippi Legislature but every legislature in every state.
. . .
Lt. Gov. Tate Reeves and the entire Mississippi Senate are to blame because instead of passing a clean reauthorization bill without the code sections needed for expansion, they passed a bill they knew would be trouble in the House.
. . .
Gov. Phil Bryant is to blame because he has adopted a my-way-or-the-highway approach to governing and won’t even entertain the idea that perhaps expanding Medicaid, creating jobs and providing affordable health care coverage to the uninsured is better for the people of Mississippi than being a good Republican governor (surely better than Florida’s and New Jersey’s Republicans In Name Only).
. . .
President Barack Obama is to blame because he is the one who came up with this socialized health care package and ram-rodded it through Congress.
