Supervisors pass resolution supporting legislation to allow sheriff’s office to run radar

PASCAGOULA, Mississippi — Jackson County supervisors adopted a resolution Tuesday which supports a local and private bill currently in the state legislature which, if passed, would allow the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office to utilize radar detection equipment.

According to supervisor Troy Ross, the logistics of having this passed has been tough.

“You have a local, private bill in the house and in the Senate that will only impact the area asking for it, so if they approve of what we are asking for, it will only be in Jackson County.”
