Jackson County supervisors asking SRHS trustees to resign immediately

PASCAGOULA, Mississippi — Jackson County supervisors voted this morning to ask each Signing River Health System Board of Trustees member to resign from their posts effective immediately.

The resolution calling for resignation is meant to “create an environment conducive with repairing and restoring ” the ailing system “and moving forward in a positive manner,” said Supervisor Mike Mangum, who made the motion.

The motion was seconded by Supervisor Melton Harris Jr. and supported by Supervisors Troy Ross and John McKay as well.
