Jevan Snead diary: Playing in Texas in high school ‘prepared me for this’

The biggest difference between this year and last year is the attention we’re receiving from the media. It’s more hectic than last season, when no one knew who we were. We’re not paying too much attention to it, because you can’t get caught up in that stuff. Fortunately, playing high school football in the state of Texas kind of prepared me for this kind of thing.

We had a lot of success, not only when I was there but in years prior. So a lot was expected of us; we were expected to go out and win every week. That makes you work harder and stay focused. People may say that’s a lot of pressure, but I wouldn’t have wanted to play anywhere else.
