Jim Hood considering wasting money, going back to Supreme Court over pardons

Mississippi Attorney General Jim Hood says he’s weighing his options after losing his big legal battle over Haley Barbour’s controversial pardons.

Hood now says he’s considering filing a petition with the state Supreme Court for a rehearing on the case.

Six justices made up the majority opinion, while three dissented, meaning they did not agree.

The justices ruled it was up to the governor to decide whether the pardoned inmates met publication requirements.
