He said District 73 will be represented well by Wilson.
“He’ll be my representative now and he’ll do a good job,” Reeves said. “We’ll be in good hands with him and I look forward in helping him in any way I can.”
Wilson said he was both humbled and excited at the announcement.
“I appreciate John’s past service to the state and I also appreciate his support of our campaign going forward,” Wilson said. “I’m both humbled and excited at the prospect of representing Madison County in the legislature and we’re going to keep working through the election and past that time to earn the support of the people of District 73.”
There are no Democratic or Independent challengers for the seat, so the winner of the Aug. 4 primary would have won.
