Judge Charles Pickering Endorses Marco Rubio For President
Today, Judge Charles Pickering endorsed Marco Rubio for president. Momentum in the Magnolia state continues to grow ahead of the March 8 Primary.
Judge Charles Pickering is a retired federal judge appointed by George W. Bush who served on the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi and on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
Judge Charles Pickering issued the following statement today announcing his endorsement of U.S. Senator Marco Rubio:
“I am pleased today to endorse Marco Rubio for President of the United States. Marco speaks to the future. He appeals to our better instincts, not our worst fears. A noted historian long ago said that America is great because America is good, and if America ever ceases to be good, America will cease to be great. Marco can inspire and challenge our Nation to be good, for our people to do their very best, to be all they can be, and that will truly make America a great nation.
“Marco’s response to a young voter who asked Marco how his faith would influence him as President, was one of the best responses I have ever heard on how ones faith should influence one in public office. Marco explained that his faith would cause him to be compassionate and fair and cause him to love and serve his fellow man with integrity.
“Most importantly, Marco is the most electable of all our candidates. That is tremendously important, because we simply cannot afford four more years of the Clinton-Obama Administration that engages in excessive spending and over regulation, killing jobs and stifling our economy; an Administration that appeases and rewards our enemies, and deserts our friends and allies. It is the November election that we must win. It is that election that is most important.
“As a conservative pro-life Republican I am proud to endorse Marco Rubio.”
