The U.S. Department of Labor will provide another $31.6 million for job training for Mississippi victims of Hurricane Katrina, the state’s U.S. senators said Wednesday.

The Labor Department said the money could help up to 10,000 workers throughout Hancock, Harrison, Jackson, Pearl River, Stone and George counties with retraining. Officials said the money also will help local governments hire employees for cleanup and other recovery tasks.
