Lessons gleaned from Texas-Oklahoma, so far the game of the year

DALLAS — Here’s what we learned from the Texas-Oklahoma game, while wondering who in the world would pay $12 for a Spam Quesadilla at the Texas State Fair.

1. SE…who?
It’s the hottest argument in the game today. And no, we’re not talking about who’s No.1.
The big debate: Who has the best conference? Right now, it’s pretty hard to argue against the Big 12.

Oklahoma and Texas clearly looked like two of the nation’s top five teams, and Missouri likely will be No.1 with a win over Oklahoma State tonight. Texas Tech is ranked No. 7, and one-loss Kansas has bounced back from blowing a big lead on the road and losing to South Florida with some impressive games, including Saturday’s thumping of Colorado.
