RELEASE: SUPERVISOR IN LINCOLN COUNTY JOINS REPUBLICAN PARTY
Today, the Mississippi Republican Party welcomed Lincoln County Supervisor Dudley Nations to its membership at an announcement event held at 5:00 pm in Brookhaven.
Senator Thad Cochran, Congressman Gregg Harper, Agriculture Commissioner Cindy Hyde-Smith, State Sen. Sally Doty, State Rep. Becky Currie, Lincoln County GOP Chairman John Roberts, and other local and county elected officials were on hand to welcome Supervisor Nations.
“I welcome Supervisor Dudley Nations to the Mississippi Republican Party, and I want to thank Lincoln County Chairman John Roberts and our other elected officials for making it happen,” said MSGOP Chairman Joe Nosef. “This is more evidence to prove that in Mississippi you can either be a Democrat or a conservative but you can’t be both anymore.”
Gov. Phil Bryant said, “I also welcome Supervisor Dudley Nations to the Republican Party and extend an invitation to anyone who is tired of the liberal overreach in Washington.”
Senator Thad Cochran said, “I am excited about Supervisor Nations joining the Mississippi GOP. I’ve always worked hard to expand our party and welcome all who believe in our values of limited government, free enterprise, and individual responsibility.”
“I am pleased to welcome Supervisor Dudley Nations to the Mississippi Republican Party. He understands that our party’s platform coincides with the values of Mississippians in Lincoln County and throughout the Magnolia State. I look forward to Dudley Nations having a valuable relationship with the MSGOP.” Congressman Harper said.
Since 2009, the Mississippi Republican Party has welcomed more than 60 elected officials to its ranks. As the party for all conservatives in the state, the Mississippi Republican Party is primed for growth. We will continue to protect and promote the values shared by Mississippians, and we encourage all who believe in these principles to join our efforts.
