LSU offensive coordinator Gary Crowton says the experimentation is over

Crowton admitted he was conservative with Jefferson last season to avoid interceptions. In 2008, Lee was among the nation’s leaders in interceptions with 16 through 269 attempts in eight starts, including seven that were returned for touchdowns. Jefferson threw only seven interceptions through 296 attempts in 12 starts with no pick sixes.

“Well, I don’t like the pick six, I can tell you that,” Crowton said. “In fact, we’ve got a drill on our team that if somebody throws a pick, the whole team’s got to run it down and yell cover. That’s what we’re going to do.”
