The Mississippi Development Authority had its turn Tuesday morning before a House Appropriations subcommittee.

The economic development agency is asking for a total of $22.1 million in state money for fiscal year 2015, about $646,000 more than it got for the current budget year. About $162,000 of the increase would help boost tourism marketing, MDA director Brent Christensen said.
