Roughly 50 disgruntled Jackson golfers turned out for a meeting this morning to discuss privatizing the city’s two golf courses.
The meeting got off to a shaky start. It was initially delayed because the City Council’s Budget Committee could not convene a quorum, but the city attorneys determined the council members who were present could informally discuss the proposal to turn both Sonny Guy and Grove Park courses over to a private management company.
The meeting lasted less than 15 minutes, and the golfers left happy.
