Mike Tagert Launches First TV Ad “Values”
Today Mike Tagert for Congress released television and radio ads across the First Congressional District highlighting Tagert’s conservative values, roots in Mississippi, service in the U.S. Marine Corps and proven conservative record as Northern District Transportation Commissioner:
“As north Mississippi’s Transportation Commissioner, I am guided by faith in God, hard work and accountability, and these are the same values I will take to Washington as north Mississippi’s next Congressman. These are the values that I learned growing up in Mississippi, sharpened in the Marine Corps, and that Mary Love and I are instilling in our children. They help shape our perspective on public service and motivate me to pursue conservative reforms in Congress to get our nation back on track,” Tagert said.
On Wednesday, Mike Tagert filed more than the thousand signatures required to qualify for the May 12, 2015 Special Election to fill the First Congressional District seat vacated with the passing of Representative Alan Nunnelee.
A lifelong Mississippian and six-year veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Mike Tagert has served as Northern District Transportation Commissioner since 2011. In that capacity, Tagert has represented all 22 counties in the First Congressional District. Tagert has worked for sound fiscal management in the Mississippi Department of Transportation and the transportation infrastructure necessary to attract more jobs and opportunities to north Mississippi.
In Congress, Mike Tagert will stand up to President Obama by opposing tax hikes and reforming the tax code to create economic growth, fighting for a balanced budget amendment, protecting the right to life and the right to keep and bear arms, and working for border security and a strong military.
