Pelosi To Shield Vulnerable Members From Controversial Votes In 2010

According to The Hill, Pelosi has assured freshman lawmakers that the House will not move on controversial legislation until the Senate passes a bill. This includes immigration reform, the Employee Free Choice Act, and a ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ repeal.

One of the members Pelosi is trying to protect is Rep. Travis Childers. The non-partisan Rothenberg Report currently calls his seat a toss-up.
