JACKSON – The Mississippi Republican Party has issued the following statement from Dennis DeBar, Republican candidate for Mississippi House of Representatives in District 105, on the retirement of incumbent Democrat Representative J. Shaun Walley:
“I would like to thank Representative Walley for the service he has provided to the constituents of District 105, and I wish him the best in his future endeavors. As we strive toward our goal of having a true voice in Jackson for our district, I want to thank everyone for their continued support. Though I have met many of you over the recent months, I look forward to meeting with as many future constituents as possible in the weeks and months to come.”
In addition to Walley, it has also been recently reported that Representatives J.P. Compretta (D-112) and Tracy Arinder (D-75) will not seek re-election to the Mississippi House.
