In the midst of an open weekend, first-year Mississippi State coach Dan Mullen made sure to catch the broadcast of Alabama’s 24-15 victory over LSU yesterday.
“Obviously, they’ve got a very, very talented group of team players,” Mullen said today of the Crimson Tide. “They’re just loaded with NFL talent from top to bottom. They play hard. They play very hard, aggressive defense, and they’re a very physical team. I thought they showed the balance they’ve had yesterday by throwing the football. Mostly you see they’ve gotten by just pounding people away and pounding people with the running game, but they went out and attacked LSU through the air a little bit yesterday and showed they could do it both ways.”
