Supreme Court Justice Ann Lamar will not seek re-election
Mississippi Supreme Court Justice Ann H. Lamar will not seek re-election to the court at the end of her term.
She announced that she plans to leave the court when her current term ends in December.
63-year-old Justice Lamar of Senatobia, was appointed to the Supreme Court on May 21, 2007, and was elected to an eight-year term in November 2008.
She is the third woman to serve on the Mississippi Supreme Court.
