Notre Dame’s doors are spinning

Notre Dame quarterback Jimmy Clausen and wide receiver Golden Tate are headed to the NFL, and Cincinnati coach Brian Kelly is headed to New York to talk with Irish athletic director Jack Swarbrick about becoming the school’s next coach.
Clausen and Tate, as expected, told media Monday they will forgo their senior seasons and declare for the NFL draft. Kelly, who told his players last week he was staying at Cincinnati, confirmed his intention to meet with Notre Dame on Monday via his Twitter account.
