OLE MISS:Powe finishes what he starts

OXFORD – Jerrell Powe’s conditioning was less than his teammates but not terrible when the Rebels went through their first workout on Monday.

Defensive line coach Tracy Rocker said for Powe, the longtime recruit who officially joined the team just last week, getting to the finish line was an achievement.
“It’s day to day. He made it through practice. He started off and made it through. He never griped and never complained. He tried to finish practice, and he did finish practice. The thing about Jerrell, he has a smile on his face. He’s going to be fine, but it’s day to day,” Rocker said.

Powe’s weight has dropped from 386 to 340.
