Family says jailed blogger Clayton Kelly will be released from jail on $75,000 bond today.
Kelly’s initial bond was set at $200,000. His attorney, Kevin Camp, appealed the bond, which was lowered.
“We are ecstatic,” said Tara Kelly, the wife of Clayton Kelly. “This is just wonderful news. We are waiting on the final paperwork to be finished, and then he is getting out.”
Kelly is accused of sneaking into the nursing home room of Rose Cochran and photographing the bedridden and unconscious woman. The photo was used in an online video hit piece against U.S. Sen. Thad Cochran, who is facing a challenge from state Sen. Chris McDaniel in the June 3 GOP primary.
