Ole Miss lost its first commitment for the 2009 signing class when West Helena, Ark. running back Turell Williams flipped to Arkansas after being committed to the Rebels for a month.
Last month, Ole Miss picked up a commitment from Morristown, Tenn. linebacker Demarcus Knight, a little known prospect, who his high school coach predicted would be highly recruited after being discovered by the Rebels.
How is Knight’s commitment holding up?
“I haven’t picked up any additional offers,” Knight said Sunday evening. “I’m still hearing from several schools, but they are just showing interest at this time.”
Knight, a 6-foot-2, 230 pound prospect, said he’s mainly hearing from Virginia Tech and Tennessee at this point.
