For sure, the SEC will improve its showing from a year ago in men’s basketball.
You remember the disappointment of 2009, right? Three teams in the NCAA tournament and all were back home after the first weekend of play.
Perhaps more telling were the expectations for Tennessee, LSU and Mississippi State. None was seeded higher than No. 8. The teams then played to their seedings.
This season would be different. This year, the SEC would be back. This year, the SEC would demonstrate the 2009 season was a blip on the national basketball screen.
