It’s easy to talk about which SEC football program is currently the most powerful. It’s a little harder to prove it.
But hey, let’s give it a shot. In an effort to rank the conference’s 12 programs, I’ve come up with a rather simple — and completely subjective — system. There are three categories: current status, overall stability and potential for future success. Each program can earn up to five points in each category.
Like I said, simple. And not the least bit scientific.
So, here we go with the SEC power rankings.
* 1. Alabama: 14.5 (Status: 5;
Stability 4.5; Potential: 5)
