Army Corps of Engineers to pump $27.6 million into Mississippi dredging, construction, maintenance

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will allocate an additional $27.6 million to Mississippi this year to supplement its dredging, construction and maintenance work, U.S. Sen. Thad Cochran said today.

“There is a great demand for the flood control and navigation work carried out by the Army Corps of Engineers,” Cochran said in a news release. “I’m pleased the Corps is devoting significant additional resources toward dredging, levees, maintenance and other critical work in Mississippi.”
