Trump education budget raises concern for Sen. Thad Cochran

President Donald Trump’s recommendation to eliminate federal funding for the Title II program geared toward increasing teacher quality and reducing class size is unlikely to receive support from Sen. Thad Cochran.

“He has concerns with a number of cuts proposed for education programs, particularly those that benefit rural schools,” a spokesperson from Cochran’s office told The Clarion-Ledger Thursday.
