Since leaving Arkansas, Nutt is feeling right at home in Oxford

Houston Nutt addressed his 11th SEC football media day, but first since skipping from Arkansas to Ole Miss.
“We’ve had a good transition so far. It seems like I’ve been here a long time already,” Nutt said.
Ole Miss knows about trading coaches. Tommy Tuberville left the Rebels for Auburn way back when. Tuberville and Auburn visit Nutt and Ole Miss on Oct. 1.
Nutt, in answering a question about former coach Ed Orgeron’s reputation as a good recruiter, said the Rebels’ lineup has holes.
“There are a lot of players who didn’t always make it to campus. My whole problem, you’ve got a bunch of guys who haven’t experienced a lot of success the last three or four years,” Nutt said.

On the Plus One playoff: “I love bowl games. If you keep the bowls, I’m for Plus One. But the Final Four, or Final Eight, I don’t see how you do that.”

Nutt said he didn’t know if Jerrell Powe, the one-time Auburn commitment and LSU signee who is on the Ole Miss campus, will ever be cleared to play by the NCAA.
