Football players reported on campus at the University of Southern Mississippi Thursday afternoon in preparation for the beginning of fall camp.

The players checked in, got fitted for equipment and newcomers went through physical examinations, before going through a series of meetings late in the afternoon and evening – one of which included an orientation session at Bennett Auditorium.

The Golden Eagles set their sights to their first summer practice of the Larry Fedora era, Friday, at the Joe P. Park Practice Facility in a late afternoon session in shorts and helmets as they look toward their season opener, Aug. 30, at home against Louisiana-Lafayette at The Rock.
