“I can guarantee you we have more than two (quarterbacks in the race),” State coach Dan Mullen said. “There’s a third guy there that wants every single snap that’s expecting to be the starting quarterback this year. That’s the attitude that you want in that position.”
If it’s attitude Mullen wants, it seems as if he has all he wants in the person of Favre.
Listed at 5-foot-11, 190 pounds on State’s roster, Favre’s shortcoming is obvious. But those around State’s preseason can’t stop talking about the grit and determination he has – much like his famous uncle, Brett.
“For him to be that small, I think he’s got a lot of heart,” Relf said earlier this month.
