State Sen. Hob Bryan (D), fresh off his opening day antics, appeared on the Paul Gallo Show on SuperTalk Radio Wednesday morning.
In the interview, Bryan came out against a state lottery despite much talk from Gov. Phil Bryant and legislative leaders on the possibility of its implementation during the off-session.
Bryan also stated his support for undoing the 2016 tax cuts, calling it a “huge mistake.”
As for education funding, Bryan wants to fund the Mississippi Adequate Education Program (MAEP) as it is now structured and was critical of outsourcing the duty to review the program to EdBuild which is based out-of-state.
Gallo asked Bryan of his future electoral plans. Bryan noted that he had no plans to retire or resign, and was planning to seek reelection in 2019.
