Why you should remember this name
Few politicians have served in two statewide offices before their 40th birthday, but Reeves fits that bill. He was elected Mississippi state treasurer at age 28 and served two terms before becoming Gov. Phil Bryant’s (R) lieutenant governor after the 2010 election. Reeves was recently elected chairman of the Republican Lieutenant Governors Association and, after likely winning reelection with Bryant this year, should be in the mix for big-name offices in the coming years.
