LAUREL — Opponents in the November election, U.S. Congressman Gene Taylor (D-Miss.) and State Rep. Steven Palazzo (R-Biloxi) are hard pressed to find common ground on many subjects.
However, the two state leaders are on the same side when it comes to the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians (MBCI) Tribal council’s decision to build a casino in Jones County.
Both Taylor and Palazzo have voiced their opposition to establishing the gaming facility on the Bogue Homa Reservation near Sandersville.
