Tennessee Coach Lane Kiffin brings salary equity to the ranks of assistant coaches

Lane Kiffin hasn’t made a lot of friends the past few weeks. But a few colleagues have formed a secret admiration society for Tennessee’s coach.
If they haven’t, they should.
They are assistant coaches at other football powers. Kiffin has been a one-man economic stimulus package for that beleaguered bunch.
Beleaguered is a relative term, of course. Most of us would be happy to scrape by on $200,000 a year, even if it meant spending 100 hours a week with Nick Saban.
