Texas proved its worth in college athletics this week

It took more than 100 years, but we now know who wears the pants in college football.
When the University of Texas announced it’s remaining in the Big 12, it caused a best laid plan of television executives to back-fire.
A plan that was simple and began when it looked as if Missouri would join the Big Ten.
A natural fit it was said. A next door neighbor and natural rival to the University of Illinois, and did we say, a very large St. Louis television market.
