The Big 6 are rising again

The blueboods are back with a vengence. Kentucky’s hiring of John Calipari completes the suddenly changing landscape of college basketball.
There is now stable leadership at each of the nation’s six most prestigious basketball programs — UCLA, Kentucky, Indiana, North Carolina, Duke and Kansas. Call them the Big 6. They have won the most national titles, accounting for nearly half in the tournament’s 70-year history, and at least one of the Big 6 has been to every Final Four since 1985.
