We interrupt our coverage for a special report.

For the most part, Day 13 was the day that the McDaniel camp rested. Today, it appears that the time for the Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann to certify the Republican runoff is up on us. There was truthfully not a ton of work done on the recount campaign front. Sure there was a wingnut tweet and facebook post here and there, but the McDaniel Nation needs bombastic fireworks to be truly entertained.

Bless her heart, State Senator Melanie Sojourner (R-for now) said on Facebook that she could never ever endorse Thad Cochran. Ever.

Laura Van Overschelde fussed at the Clarion Ledger about coverage of the Flag-Wave, Hee-Haw Liberty Jubilee on Saturday.

SipConservative recapped his own headline.

The Tea Party Express allegedly held a conference call yesterday to prepare troops to storm courthouses around Mississippi today. No word as of yet as to how they’re coordinating their efforts with the McDaniel campaign.

Finally, today marks the 7th day after the alleged “vote buying scandal” in Meridian. No state or national media has advanced the allegations one iota and there appears to be no other corroborating evidence whatsoever. In other words, the pay-to-say scandal appears to be a sham. However, expect Chas. Johnson to start attacking Mississippi financial institutions today on his website as his hunt for wide-ranging but ill-researched conspiracy continues.

That’s the way it was – Day 13 of the McDaniel Hostage Crisis.

Good day Mississippi – and good luck.
