We interrupt our coverage for a special report.
YP readers won’t find much Ann Coulter in the archives of the 38,000 YallPolitics posts. However, Coulter came out with guns a-blazin yesterday regarding Chris McDaniel’s ongoing efforts. Her point was basically that McDaniel has entered sore loser territory, and gave some historical context to candidates who were wronged but lived to fight again.
The Tea Party-backed True the Vote decided to try and find a friendlier judge in a different federal court yesterday. Surprisingly, this time, they’re asking for a restraining order targeting court officials in Hinds, Copiah, Jefferson Davis, Lauderdale, Leake, Madison, Rankin, Simpson and Yazoo. The crack YP Research team is hard at work to determine what exactly those counties could possibly have in common. MS GOP Chair Joe Nosef said he thought the headline on the lawsuit was from The Onion. “Now I see how this group has earned their awful reputation,” he said.
The head of the Missouri GOP (home of Todd Akin), decided to get involved with the Mississippi Senate race . McDaniel was thrilled to have the support.
Finally, the 82 County Bigfoot/Voter Fraud Scavenger Hunt and Jubilee rolls on. Yesterday, we documented trouble that McDaniel volunteers ran into in Neshoba County. Now there’s news of a McDaniel volunteer dustup in Madison County. The Madison County Journal reports that McDaniel supporters didn’t like a reporter watching the McDaniel camp’s efforts and tried to have the reporter removed. In other words, the watchers didn’t like being watched.
That’s the way it was – Day 16 of the McDaniel Hostage Crisis.
Good day Mississippi – and good luck.
