Re-election bid still a question mark for Miss. senator

Sen. Thad Cochran is once again playing an influential role on a major piece of legislation — a $500 billion renewal of programs critical to farmers across the country.

It’s another in a long line of high-profile roles for the six-term Republican from Mississippi, but many people are wondering whether it will be his last.

Cochran, 75, said he will decide this month whether to run for re-election next year.
