Vandy gets to prove itself worthy of national stage today

If I am reading the signs correctly, the Apocalypse is closer than you think.
Vanderbilt’s is judged to have the 19th-best football team in the country, if you trust the judgment of those who cast votes for the AP and coaches’ football polls.

To add more sizzle, ESPN has parked its College GameDay set on campus. This cultural phenomenon has morphed into an event proving that TV cameras make fools of us all.
Expect some clever signs in the audience today. After all, it is Vanderbilt.
Many student bodies offer the tired, “Hi, Dad. Send Money,” sign to lure the cameras. Vandy students come at it from another angle.
You are likely to see a “Hi Dad. Send Molly Maid.” Or, “We Send Our Pets to Auburn.”
