Video: Business leaders address change

Mississippi’s economy, like the nation’s, remains in a downturn, but there are bright spots and opportunities to build on, officials said Thursday during a gathering of business leaders.

The Mississippi Economic Council, the state chamber of of commerce, marked 60 years of service with its largest annual meeting held at the Jackson Convention Complex.

“Our country, our state and our individual businesses face enormous challenges,” AT&T Mississippi President Mayo Flynt, who will chair MEC for the next year, told the announced crowd of about 2,600.
