Voting is obligation for media, Mr. Melton

The answer to the question of why Jackson mayoral candidate and “bottom line” former TV personality Frank Melton has apparently chosen frequently not to exercise his right to vote isn’t one I can provide.

Don’t know why Mr. Melton didn’t vote; don’t much care why, either. But I do know that one explanation Melton offered this newspaper as to why he’s been a non-voter for many years is that he was somehow ethically precluded from voting by virtue of his former status as a member of the media.
