Was Obama’s Oslo speech a significant sign the President is moving to the center?

Based on his speech in Oslo, Barack Obama is now being celebrated by some on the right as at least a partial convert to their cause and way of thinking.

Abe Greenwald in the National Review writes a piece headlined “Going Neocon: Is Obama getting mugged by reality?”, in which he claims that in Obama’s speech “three convictions often linked with neoconservative thought have been affirmed.” Peggy Noonan in the Wall Street Journal cites the speech as evidence that Obama is moving to the center.

Politico notes praise from both Sarah Palin and Newt Gingrich, who marveled at “a liberal president who goes to Oslo on behalf of a peace prize and reminds the committee that they would not be free, they wouldn’t be able to have a peace prize, without having [the ability to use] force. I thought in some ways it’s a very historic speech.”
