Wicker: Veto of NDAA will hurt Mississippi

TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) — U. S. Senator Roger Wicker says a presidential veto of the National Defense Authorization Act would have a negative impact on the Magnolia State.

Wicker says President Barack Obama should agree to the funding bill passed by lawmakers because it achieves necessary military spending but is within the White House’s budget request of $6.12 billion.

The President is threatening to veto the measure because he does not agree with the way some of the funding is allocated.
