Wicker: Unionizing airport screeners bad for security

A member of the Senate Armed Services Committee doesn’t think that allowing federal airport screeners to unionize is in the best interest of national security.

In response to the administrator of Transportation Safety Administration’s (TSA) recent decision to allow his employees to move forward with the collective bargaining process, Senator Roger Wicker (R-Mississippi) has introduced an amendment to the Federal Aviation Administration’s reauthorization bill that is aimed at reversing that decision, as he contends collective bargaining would compromise national security.
