WTVA – Ross, McGlowan and Nunnelee to debate on MUW campus

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WTVA) – The Mississippi School for Math and Science is taking on national politics.

Members of the Young Republicans association will host a debate for the three candidates vying for the U.S. House seat now held by Democrat Travis Childers.

MSMS students talked over details on the Mississippi University for Women campus Wednesday with their sponsor and a MSMS official.

They have tough questions for Alan Nunnelee, Angela McGlowan and Henry Ross.

“This is great for our kids. Many of them this will be the first election that they have been actually able to vote in,” MSMS Administrator Charles Brown said.

“We’re gonna try and hit on a lot of important topics. I know we’re gonna try to hit on healthcare, the stimulus and a lot of the local issues around here,” Young Republicans President Marissa Martini said.
